We are now seeking an organised, meticulous and proactive Exams Officer to manage all aspects of internal and external examinations, playing a key role in the academic life of the school.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the administration, organisation, and smooth running of all public and internal exams (GCSEs, A-Levels, and mock assessments).
- Liaise with exam boards, academic staff, students, and parents to ensure compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
- Manage exam entries, access arrangements, timetables, invigilation schedules, rooming, and secure handling of papers.
- Train, deploy, and supervise a team of invigilators.
- Ensure all candidates receive appropriate support, especially those with SEND or specific needs.
- Produce reports and analysis of results for senior leadership.
- Maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, and contribute to the school's ethos of academic excellence.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiar with JCQ regulations and exam administration (training can be provided).
- A strong communicator, able to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
- Confident using school MIS and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Discreet, professional, and committed to upholding the integrity of the examination process.
- Experience in a similar school or exams-related role is desirable but not essential.
