Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant / CIEAG Advisor to join our team at a specialist SEN school in Knowsley. This is a rewarding dual‑role position, combining general classroom support with responsibility for delivering careers education and guidance to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high‑quality support to teaching staff and students across the school
- Assist with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
- Lead on careers education, information, advice and guidance (CIEAG)
- Support students with work experience opportunities and career pathways
- Contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Strong knowledge and experience of SEND and SEMH needs
- Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and restorative practice
- Familiarity with careers guidance frameworks, including the Gatsby Benchmarks
- Experience supporting young people with additional needs in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
