About the Role
- Delivering high-quality teaching within the nurture group, tailored to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Planning and delivering personalised interventions that focus on both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
- Creating and adapting resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners.
- Supporting pupils to develop social skills, self-esteem, and positive relationships with peers and adults.
- Working closely with the SENCo, Headteacher, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
- Promoting inclusion and helping pupils transition successfully back into mainstream classes when appropriate.
What we’re looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in KS1 or KS2, ideally with SEN or nurture group involvement
- Strong understanding of nurture principles and inclusive practice
- Empathy, patience, and creativity in supporting children with additional needs
- A genuine passion for helping pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally
