We are looking for qualified and experienced SEND Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to students in Chester. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve their educational goals.

Tutors will work with students in a one-to-one setting, delivering engaging and personalised lessons that are tailored to each learner's individual needs, abilities, and learning objectives. Many students may require additional support due to SEND, missed education, anxiety, or other barriers to learning, so patience, understanding, and adaptability are essential.

Position Details

  • Location: Chester
  • Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible)
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience working with students with SEND or additional learning needs is advantageous
  • Experience supporting students who may be disengaged from education or require tailored learning approaches
  • UK teaching or tutoring experience
  • A creative, patient, and flexible approach to teaching

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references related to working with children or young people
