The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is recruiting committed Outreach Tutors to support children and young people across Chester through personalised 1:1 tuition. You'll work with learners who may be unable to access mainstream education, require alternative provision or need additional support to re-engage with learning. Every tuition package is tailored to the individual, allowing you to build strong relationships and make a lasting impact.

Position Details

  • Location: Chester
  • Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible)
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

The successful Outreach Tutor will have:

  • Experience teaching or tutoring on a 1:1 basis
  • Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or those who are disengaged from education
  • QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

To be eligible, you must:

  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
  • Provide two professional child-related references
