Prospero Teaching are currently working with a large SEN provision in the Chepstow area, to recruit for personal care assistants to start ASAP. This is a long-term position with a likelihood of going permanent for the successful candidate. You will be required to support pupils from early years to KS2 with PMLD, on a 1:1 basis. The ideal candidate for this role will need to be resilient, as due to the complex needs of the young people, they can exhibit challenging behaviours.
Position Details:
- Location: Chepstow, Monmouthshire
- Type of Work: Temporary
- Full time only
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £67 per day
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: Ongoing/Temp to Perm
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential, whether it be adult or child, care or school setting
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Manual Handling training is highly desired
- Child and Adult DBS on the update service, or willingness to get one
- Team Teach training is highly desired
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
