About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and committed Science Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive secondary school in Chelmsford from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach at Key Stage 5 for a suitably experienced candidate. You will join a well‑resourced and collaborative Science department dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a love of science in every student.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons
  • Teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support students' academic and personal development

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Science
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
  • Be passionate about teaching and learning
  • Be committed to achieving high standards and student outcomes
  • Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team
