Learning Support Assistant (Post-16) - FE College

Start: As soon as possible

Location: Chelmsford, Essex

Contract: Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to Post-16 learners across a variety of curriculum areas
  • Assist students with understanding tasks, building confidence, and developing independence
  • Support learners with communication, social skills, and organisation
  • Adapt materials and resources to meet individual learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching teams and support staff
  • Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting learners within an FE, Post-16, or secondary setting
  • Understanding of SEND and additional learning needs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work proactively and supportively with young adults
  • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support
