We are looking for a One to One Tutor to support primary and secondary aged children across Manchester through personalised 1:1 tuition. Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you will provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision or additional help to access learning. Many pupils benefit from a patient, nurturing approach that helps develop core skills, increase confidence, and encourage positive engagement with education.
Location: East Manchester
Key Stages: KS1 to KS4
Start Date: September
Hours: Flexible
Pay Rate: GBP25-GBP30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
- Experience supporting primary-aged children
- Good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
- SEN experience desirable
- Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, positive, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire

You will work with children who may have a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- ADHD
- Anxiety and school avoidance
- Speech, language, and communication needs
