How to prepare for a job interview at Prospero Teaching
✨Know Your Stuff
Before the interview, make sure you understand the role of a caretaker in a school setting. Familiarise yourself with common maintenance tasks, safety protocols, and how to handle cleaning duties effectively. This will show your potential employer that you're serious about the job.
✨Show Your Initiative
During the interview, highlight instances where you've taken initiative in previous roles. Whether it was fixing a problem before it escalated or suggesting improvements, demonstrating your proactive attitude can set you apart from other candidates.
✨Be Ready for Scenario Questions
Expect questions that ask how you'd handle specific situations, like dealing with a maintenance emergency or ensuring safety in the school environment. Prepare some examples from your past experiences that showcase your problem-solving skills and reliability.
✨Bring Your References
Since you'll need to provide two professional child-related references, have them ready to share during the interview. This not only shows you're organised but also reassures the interviewer of your credibility and suitability for working in a school environment.
