Job Description

Business and Economics Teacher

A medium sized, mixed, Ofsted Good secondary school in South West London is seeking a Business and Economics teacher to join the team starting February 2025. The ideal candidate will be qualified, have a degree related to Business Studies or Economics, and be a passionate educator who can teach Business and Economics to a high standard.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS TEACHING CONTRACT:

  1. Full time teaching post
  2. Business and Economics taught at key stage 4 and key stage 5
  3. A level Business and Economics is taught
  4. Multiple opportunities for progression available
  5. Department with a collaborative approach to planning, delivery, and assessment
  6. Supportive and high energy Business and Economics department
  7. This is a full-time position including planning and marking
  8. Interviewing ASAP

THE RIGHT BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS TEACHER WILL BE:

  1. Hold a BA and PGCE in Business and Economics
  2. Confident with teaching GCSE
  3. Creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box

THE SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS TEACHER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Exceptional Business Studies UK classroom teaching experience
  2. Eligibility to work in the UK
  3. Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
  4. A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service

Salary paid to scale – teachers pay scale MPS or UPS1 dependent on experience.
