We are seeking Secondary and Post-16 Teaching Assistants to join a specialist secondary and sixth form school in Bury, supporting pupils aged 11–19 with a wide range of complex needs, including autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils across secondary and post-16 classes.
- Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning programmes and ensuring pupils can access the curriculum effectively.
- Support the development of independence, life skills, and social engagement.
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.
- Work closely with the school team, families, and external agencies to ensure a nurturing and inclusive environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with young people with SEND, ideally in a school, residential, or community setting.
- A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to managing behaviour.
