ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you a qualified tutor passionate about making a real difference? Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated, qualified Outreach Tutors to deliver personalised, 1:1 education packages in English and Maths, supporting Primary to GCSE-level students in Buckinghamshire who are currently out of school.

As a qualified Outreach Tutor, you’ll have the rewarding challenge of creating and delivering bespoke lessons tailored to bridge gaps in learning, rebuild confidence, and reignite a love of education. Many of the young people you’ll support will have faced significant barriers and time away from formal education – your role is to help them reengage, boost their attainment, and bring structure back into their daily lives.

This role is perfect for experienced, qualified tutors or teachers with SEN expertise looking to move beyond the classroom and deliver truly meaningful, one-on-one support that changes lives. At Prospero Teaching, you won’t be alone – we work closely with you to monitor student progress and provide the support and resources you need to succeed.

  • Position: Qualified Outreach Tutor

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: Dependent on individual student needs
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Hours: Flexible – part-time or full-time based on your availability
  • Rate of pay: Starting from £25 per hour
  • Session length: Minimum 1 hour, maximum 3 hours per session

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE, EYFS
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience working in UK schools
  • Experience supporting SEN students is essential
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training within the last year (desirable, but not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to complete a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
