Prospero Teaching is recruiting on behalf of a Nursery school which is attached to an Academy Primary school seeking a Room Lead 5 days a week. The school requires the lead to have experience in EYFS, management, and have paediatric First Aid. The ideal candidate will be local and able to work Monday-Friday 8.30-16.00 and have knowledge of ASD for which they have 5 children on EHCPs or un-diagnosed but referred to CAHMS.
The nursery prides themselves on inclusion, referring early, and they have an on-site SENco.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Level 3 in Early Years
- Room Lead Experience (private Day or management in school)
- Paediatric First Aid
- Learning through play lead
- Experience with SALT intervention
- Driver
- Available Full-time (term time only)
- SEN inclusion awareness and driven
Key Responsibilities:
- Key Children - 5 Children on EHCPs/ deferred to CAHMS for ADHD/ ASD
- SEN awareness as they are an inclusion-focused learning provider
- Be willing to lead a team of Teachers and TAs
- Create a warm, inclusive, positive, and nurturing atmosphere for children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensure all staff are compliant with training, CPD, and interventions

- SALT training and CPD to support speech and language
- Lego Therapy training to promote learning through play and sensory development
- Refreshers on First Aid
