Outreach Tutor - Maths and/or English (Bromley)
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Outreach Tutor to provide 1:1 afterschool tuition in Maths and/or English to young people in the Bromley area. This role involves delivering bespoke education packages to students who are currently not accessing mainstream education. As an Outreach Tutor, you will plan and deliver personalised lessons designed to rebuild confidence, bridge learning gaps, and re-engage pupils with education. Many learners will have additional needs, so experience working with SEN pupils is highly desirable. This opportunity is ideal for qualified teachers or tutors looking for flexible, rewarding work outside of the classroom, with the chance to make a meaningful impact through tailored, relationship-led teaching. Prospero Teaching will support you throughout the placement, working closely with you to monitor pupil progress and ensure effective outcomes.
Contract & Position Details

Experience, Training & Qualifications
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum 6 months' experience working with children or young people in the UK
- Experience supporting SEN learners (highly desirable)
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (preferred, but not essential)
Requirements
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
