Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people who are currently not attending school. As an Outreach Tutor, you will design and deliver tailored lessons in Maths, English and/or Science up to GCSE level, helping students bridge gaps in their learning and improve engagement and attainment. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher looking to move away from the traditional classroom setting and provide more personalised, impactful lessons.
Many of the pupils you will support may have been out of education for some time and could present with SEN or SEMH needs, meaning confidence and motivation may be low. Your role will be to re-engage them in learning, build trust, and introduce structure back into their daily routine. Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress and ensure effective learning outcomes for every student.

- Minimum rate of pay - Β£25 per hour
- Hours - Minimum 1 hour per session, up to 3 hours per session
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS or PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- Experience teaching Maths, English and/or Science up to GCSE level
- SEN and SEMH experience highly desirable
- Minimum 6 months' experience working in a UK school
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
- Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
