Are you an experienced Early Years professional with a passion for supporting children as they prepare for their next educational milestone? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Pre-School Room Leaders to support a range of nursery settings across Bristol.
About the Role
As a Pre-School Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team and creating a stimulating, engaging, and nurturing environment for children aged 3-5 years. You will support children's learning and development through exciting activities and play-based experiences while ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the day-to-day running of the pre-school room.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Monitor, observe, and assess children's progress and development.
- Support school readiness and promote independence.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare requirements are met at all times.
- Mentor and support other practitioners within the room.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum.
- Previous experience working within a nursery or pre-school setting.
- Experience leading a room or supervising staff within an Early Years environment.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Must have access to your own transport and be willing to travel to nursery settings across Bristol and surrounding areas.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is mandatory, or you must be willing to obtain one through Prospero.
- A minimum of 24 months' referencing history is required.
- Paediatric First Aid certification is mandatory.
