About the Role
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming primary school and support their on-site nursery provision. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early years education, who enjoys supporting children aged 3-4 in a safe, creative, and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the nursery team to deliver engaging activities, support learning through play, and help promote a positive early years experience for all children.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children in their daily routines, play, and early learning activities
- Assisting nursery staff with planned lessons and free-flow learning
- Creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment
- Supporting with personal care routines where required
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
- Communicating effectively with staff and pupils
- Ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are always met
Requirements
- Experience working with children (early years experience desirable but not essential)
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
- Right to work in the UK
