Humanities Teacher (History Specialist) in the Bridgwater Area, Somerset.

Full Time | Maternity Cover (up to 1 year)

Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Bridgwater area to recruit an engaging and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher, with a specialism in History. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and high-performing department on a long-term maternity cover, delivering inspiring lessons that bring history to life.

The Role

  • You will primarily teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to the wider Humanities curriculum.
  • Delivering high-quality, engaging History lessons.
  • Encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and discussion.
  • Helping students draw connections between the past and modern society.
  • Supporting students in developing strong analytical and evaluative skills.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4.
