Prospero Teaching is seeking a number of ALN Teaching Assistants to work at a special school in Brecon. The school is a large facility that caters for those with profound multiple learning difficulties. The age of the children ranges from primary school to post‑16 education. Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location: Brecon
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Start date: September 2025
  • Full time/part time: Full-Time
  • Minimum rate of pay: £0.62 per day
  • Hours: 8:45 am – 4:00 pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent graduate with a 2:1 or higher
  • Previous experience working in a UK school
  • Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued in the last year
  • Qualified Teaching Status

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child‑related references covering the last 2 years
