Rate: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

About the School

Are you a patient, dedicated and nurturing Learning Support Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are working with a specialist primary school in Bradford that supports pupils with a range of complex learning, social, emotional and mental health needs. The school provides a safe, structured and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience and positive learning behaviours.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND or SEMH needs.
  • Assist with differentiated learning and help pupils engage with tailored lesson activities.
  • Support emotional regulation using calm, consistent and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Implement behaviour support plans and encourage positive routines and relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and parents/carers to ensure holistic support.
  • Promote independence and celebrate progress in academic, social and emotional development.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children in a school, care or SEND setting.
  • Understanding of SEND or SEMH needs and a willingness to learn new strategies.
  • Calm, empathetic and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable learners.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Adaptability and confidence working in a fast-paced, varied environment.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide two professional, child-related references.
