We're looking for Science Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 support to children and young people across Boscombe and the surrounding areas. Working alongside Local Authorities, you'll support learners who require alternative educational provision, helping them develop their understanding of Science while building confidence, motivation, and engagement with learning. Many students benefit from a flexible approach tailored to their individual needs, making this an ideal role for educators who enjoy working closely with learners and adapting their teaching style.

Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
- Strong knowledge of Science subjects
- Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel within your local area
Who You'll Support:
You'll work with children and young people of varying ages and abilities, including those with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- ADHD
- Anxiety and school avoidance
- EHCPs and other additional learning needs
You'll play an important role in helping students overcome barriers to education, make progress academically, and develop confidence in their abilities.
