About the Role
We're looking for enthusiastic and supportive Key Stage 2 Tutors to work with children across the BCP area, providing personalised 1:1 tuition to learners who require additional educational support. Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll support pupils who may be unable to access mainstream education full-time, have additional learning needs, or require a tailored approach to help them achieve their potential. Your focus will be on building confidence, developing key skills, and creating positive learning experiences that encourage progress.

Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
- Experience supporting primary-aged children
- Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
- Ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs
- Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, nurturing, and engaging approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel within your local area

You'll work with children with a variety of needs and backgrounds, including those with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- ADHD
- Anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance
- EHCPs and additional educational needs
The role is centred around helping young learners re-engage with education, develop their confidence, and make meaningful progress in a supportive environment.
