Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and experienced Early Years Mentor to support children and early years professionals across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP). The successful candidate will support children's learning, development and wellbeing while providing guidance and mentoring to early years practitioners. You will help promote high-quality EYFS practice, monitor children's progress and provide feedback on their development. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Early Years Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner, EYFS professional or Early Years Teacher who is passionate about making a positive difference to young children's lives.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
  • Position: Early Years Mentor
  • Area: Early Years / EYFS / Child Development
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Hours: Flexible
  • Full/Part Time: Part-time
  • Rate of Pay: £25-£30 per hour

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Desirable, but not essential:
  • EYFS, QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in an early years setting, nursery, preschool or school
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Experience supporting children's learning and development
  • Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting practitioners
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A caring and child-centred approach

TO BE ELIGIBLE, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
  • Provide two professional child-related references
  • Have at least 1 year's experience working in an educational or early years setting
