Prospero Teaching are looking for Teaching Assistants to support children at an SEN primary school in Preston. This school caters for students with complex needs, PMLD, SLD and some medical needs. You will be required to support children on 1 to 1s and may be required to assist with personal care when necessary.
Although experience working with special needs in a school setting is preferred, any personal or professional experience supporting complex needs is what matters in this role. The ideal candidate will need to be resilient, as due to the complex needs of the young people they can exhibit very challenging behaviour. Some of the young people are non-verbal, and there is a wide spectrum of needs catered for. Although the role can have its challenges, the school is lovely, the staff are supportive and it can be incredibly rewarding. You must be comfortable with personal care and be happy to get stuck in!

- Minimum Rate of Pay: £96 per day, depending on experience

Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Personal or professional experience supporting complex needs
- Up to date Safeguarding certificate within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
