About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs in a welcoming and inclusive school based in the BL6 area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who require additional support to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and social development
  • Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in the classroom
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred)
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential
