Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Class Teacher to work in one of our inspirational Alternative Provisions in Blyth on a full-time and long-term basis to start ASAP. Applications from ECTs are welcome to apply. The School supports pupils across the 11-18 age-range who have SEMH of varying levels and who have been excluded from mainstream School.
About the Role:
- The role will involve planning and delivering lessons to small classes of pupils with SEMH of varying levels as well as challenging behaviour.
- All subject specialisms are considered for the role.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
- A key part of the role will be to differentiate lessons appropriately and work effectively alongside other members of staff to ensure all pupils are able to make progress and are taught in a way that is suited to their individual needs and learning styles.
About the School:
- The role is based in an inspirational Alternative Provision in Blyth.
- The School supports pupils across the Secondary School age-range with SEMH of varying levels who have been temporarily excluded from mainstream School.
- The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
- Pay – Between £130-180 per day
- Hours – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026.
- Contract – Temporary Contract.
- Start Date – ASAP
- Location – Blyth
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
- QTS and Primary School Teaching experience within the UK.
- Experience of short, medium and long-term planning
- Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
- A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work
- Strong organisation and communication skills
