Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in primary education? Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to support a variety of primary schools across Birmingham. We have flexible opportunities available for daily supply, short-term cover, and long-term placements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and helping them thrive both academically and socially within a nurturing school environment.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and classroom routines
  • Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
  • Supporting children with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

We Are Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • A patient, caring, and resilient attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
