- Position: Primary Cover Supervisor
- Contract/Position Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Daily and Long-Term
- Contract Type: Temporary
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
- Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP95-GBP135
- Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
- Ensure pupils remain engaged, motivated, and on task throughout lessons
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil progress, engagement, and behaviour
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Support the wider school community when required
Experience, Training and Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a Primary School setting is desirable
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Learning Mentor, Sports Coach, or Youth Worker is highly desirable
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential
- A passion for supporting young learners and helping them achieve their potential
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training is required. If you have not completed Safeguarding training within the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide this free of charge
To Be Eligible for Any Role with Prospero Teaching, You Must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to process a new application
- Be able to obtain references
