Prospero Teaching is recruiting qualified History Teachers to support secondary schools across the Midlands. We work with a wide range of mainstream secondary schools and academies looking for enthusiastic teachers to deliver History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available in some schools.

Whether you're looking for flexible daily supply, a long-term placement or your next permanent position, our dedicated Secondary team will work with you to find opportunities that suit your experience, preferred travel distance and career ambitions. You'll be responsible for delivering engaging History lessons, encouraging students to think critically, analyse evidence and develop a deeper understanding of historical events and their impact on the modern world. Opportunities are available in a variety of school settings, allowing you to broaden your experience while building strong relationships with local schools. We welcome applications from experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers and teachers returning to the profession.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching History within UK secondary schools
  • Strong curriculum and classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
