Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a welcoming and supportive primary school in Central East Birmingham. They are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a nurturing school environment that is committed to providing high-quality education and support for young learners during the crucial early stages of development.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting children across the EYFS setting, helping to create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment where pupils can thrive both academically and socially.
The Role:
- Supporting the class teacher within the EYFS classroom
- Working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis where required
- Assisting with phonics, early learning activities, and creative play
- Encouraging pupil engagement and development
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Helping to maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working within an EYFS setting
- Have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Be passionate about supporting young children's learning and development
- Be reliable, proactive, and adaptable

Requirements to Work with Prospero Teaching:
