Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting experienced Early Years Teaching Assistants to join a range of welcoming Primary and Nursery Schools across Birmingham, with opportunities available for September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate and nurturing individuals who enjoy supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their development. We have opportunities available on a full-time, part-time, and flexible supply basis, allowing you to find work that suits your schedule.
The Role
You will be supporting pupils across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and helping create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. Some roles may involve supporting children with additional needs, including:
- Autism (ASC)
- Speech and Language difficulties
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
- Behavioural challenges
Please note: due to the age of pupils, personal care may be required as part of the role.

Experience, Training & Qualifications
To be considered, you must:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Have previous experience working within a school or nursery setting, either in a permanent or supply capacity
- Be passionate about supporting children within Early Years education
An up-to-date Safeguarding certificate is essential. If you have not completed training within the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide this free of charge.
To be eligible, you must:
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional references relating to children
