The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is recruiting motivated Functional Skills Tutors to deliver engaging 1:1 tuition across Sefton.
/n
You'll support learners working towards Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications, adapting your teaching to suit individual abilities and helping students build confidence in essential literacy and numeracy skills.

* Location: Sefton
/n * Position: Functional Skills Tutor
/n * Hours: 5-15 hours per week
/n * Start Date: September 2026
/n * Duration: Ongoing
/n
Experience, Training and Qualifications
/n
We're looking for tutors who have:
/n
* Experience delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths
/n * Relevant teaching or tutoring experience
/n * Strong communication skills
/n * A positive, learner-focused approach
/n
To be eligible, you must:
/n
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
/n * Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
/n * Provide two professional references
/n
