We are looking for a committed and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school setting in Trowbridge, providing dedicated 1:1 support to a student with additional needs. This role is centred around building a strong, trusting relationship and delivering personalised support to help the student access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support to a student with Special Educational Needs
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions
  • Adapt resources and tasks to meet the student's individual needs
  • Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development
  • Help the student engage with lessons and maintain focus
  • Monitor and record progress, feeding back to teaching staff and SENCO
  • Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs or support plans

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g., ASD, SEMH, ADHD, MLD)
