Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced, passionate and patient Tutor, who has experience with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We have a referral available to work with a young person in Year 9 within Berwick Library. This particular referral is for 4 hours a week, with scope to build your timetable with other referrals. This young person has a low academic ability due to being out of school for a long period of time because of their SEMH needs.
To be successful in this role, you will have to be patient and focus on building a rapport with this young person. This role is to start ASAP, it would be ideal if applicants had a DBS on the update service. Within this role, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons as a means of alternate education. One of your aims will be to support and re-engage a pupil in their learning, offer structure back into their daily routine, continue their educational development and aid their return to school.
We will work with you to build your timetable and achieve the number of hours you are wanting to work. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced professional who is wanting to leave a classroom setting while still making a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.

What we need from you:
- Hold a right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to complete a new application
- Provide references to cover the last two years of employment
- The ability to commit to the young person and work for the duration of the placement
