Are you an experienced English Teacher or Tutor looking for flexible 1:1 work?
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a GCSE English Tutor to support a learner in Wirral. The role will involve identifying areas for development and delivering focused tuition designed around the learner's individual goals.
The Role
- Deliver individual GCSE English tuition
- Support reading, writing and comprehension skills
- Prepare lessons tailored to current attainment
- Identify gaps in knowledge and target key areas
- Assist with GCSE preparation where appropriate
- Develop confidence and engagement with the subject
- Record and communicate learner progress
Requirements
- Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE English
- Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum
- Previous 1:1 tuition experience advantageous
- Ability to differentiate and adapt lessons
- Positive and encouraging teaching style
- QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching experience desirable
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional child-related references
