Are you passionate about supporting young learners? Compassionate, calm and innovative in your teaching approach? Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor to support a Year 3 student in the DT8 area, delivering English and Maths for 6 hours per week. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on helping young people re-engage with education and build confidence in their learning.
The Role
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, tailored sessions for a Year 3 learner.
- Monitor, assess and report on weekly student progress.
- Provide patient, compassionate and structured support.
- Be adaptable, organised and creative in your teaching.
- Record attendance and maintain clear documentation.
About You
- Has a nurturing, caring and patient nature.
- Understands the Primary National Curriculum (English & Maths essential).
- Has experience supporting learners with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
- Is organised, dependable and able to build positive relationships.
- Holds at least 1 year of experience working in UK schools (essential).
Requirements
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply).
- Provide references when requested.
- Have up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or willingness to complete this).
