As an Unqualified Teacher, you lead the classroom using pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain engaged and on task. You create a positive and structured learning environment, manage behaviour effectively, and support pupils' academic and social development. Your role helps maintain continuity of learning across the school, making a real impact while gaining valuable classroom experience.

Prospero Teaching is looking for confident, proactive individuals to work as Unqualified Teachers across a range of mainstream and SEN primary and secondary schools in Basingstoke. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone passionate about education who wants to gain practical classroom experience without needing QTS.

You will supervise classes during teacher absence, deliver pre-set lessons, and ensure students remain focused and supported throughout the school day.

Experience, training and qualifications
  • A degree is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with young people (minimum one year)
  • Safeguarding training completed within the last 12 months (we can provide this)
Eligibility
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to supply two professional references relating to work with children
