Role: Tutor Needed - Year 5 (English & Maths) - Basingstoke

Location: Student's home in Basingstoke

Subjects: English & Maths (Primary)

Hours: 2 hours per week

Days: Monday or Tuesday (flexible)

Start: As soon as possible

We are looking for a patient, engaging Primary Tutor to support a Year 5 pupil in their home. The student has SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs and ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), so experience or a strong understanding of these areas is essential.

Responsibilities

  • One-to-one tutoring in the family home
  • Focus on building confidence and progress in English and Maths
  • Helping the student remain engaged with learning through tailored, structured sessions
  • Creating a calm, supportive, and relationship-led learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with children with SEMH and ASC
  • Strong background in Primary English and Maths
  • Reliable, friendly, and able to build rapport
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
