Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for tutors in Barnsley! Candidates should have experience working with children, whether that be tuition, teaching and classroom roles, or pastoral and care employment.
Start Date: ASAP, if you're cleared for work, or December 2025.
Hours: 5 hours per week, taking place in school hours 9am - 4pm Mon - Fri.
Pay: GBP20 - GBP30 per hour.
The Role: Maths and English tuition for a Year 10 student working below ARE. SEN experience desired.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS (desired but not required), or previous experience of working with students on a 1:1 basis.
- Proven track record of improving students' performances.
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided).
- DBS on update service.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
