We are working with a small, specialist setting in Altrincham (WA15) who are looking to add two teaching assistants to their small yet highly supportive team.

Our school provides a tailored education to young people aged between 5 and 17, who find accessing mainstream education challenging - there will be a high focus on building professional, respectful and meaningful relationships with young people who need consistency and focus in their education.

Despite being a small setting, our Headteacher prides themselves on offering an inclusive learning environment where young people can thrive.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location: Altrincham, Cheshire
  • Position: Teaching Assistant
  • Type of work: Long term Non-Teaching cover
  • Start date: September 2026
  • Duration / Likely Duration: July 2027
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Full
  • Minimum rate of pay: GBP90
  • Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher, OR Experience as a TA in a similar setting, OR experience working with young people in a vocational/coaching capacity
  • Previous experience working in a UK school
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
