Prospero Teaching is looking for a Nurture Teacher for an immediate start. You will be responsible for teaching a balanced Primary Curriculum to Year 7 to 11 students who need that little extra support and guidance. This timetable would be suitable for a qualified teacher who is looking to focus on smaller groups, as opposed to 30 students.

The school is a small but outstanding Specialist Provision and you will be teaching groups of up to 6 or 7 students and you will be ably supported by skilful learning assistants. Facilities are outstanding and include sensory rooms, a nature garden, and access to a protected nature trail which is perfect for outdoor education during the summer months!

The school offers GCSE subjects for its students and prides itself on offering a supportive, calm environment for learning.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location: Altrincham, Cheshire
  • Position: Nurture Teacher
  • Type of work: Long term Teacher cover
  • Start date: September 2026
  • Duration / Likely Duration: July 2027, subject to extension / review
  • Contract type: Temporary, Temp to Perm
  • Full time/part time: Full
  • Minimum rate of pay: GBP168/day
  • Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
  • Either qualified to teach Primary KS2 or Secondary KS3/4 with relevant experience of Nurture Groups
  • Previous experience working in a UK school
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
