We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Ashford, Surrey from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children with additional needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will

  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning support.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group interventions.
  • Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential).
  • Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is committed to supporting every child to reach their full potential.
  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
