Position: Art Teacher

Location: Salford

Pay: £160 - £220, dependent on pay scale and experience

Start Date: 18/05/2026

Contract: Temp to Perm

Prospero Teaching are presently looking for an experienced Art Teacher to come and work within a dedicated Alternative Provision located within the area of Salford. The school is a Pupil Referral Unit, supporting KS4 learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing environment where creativity and individual learning needs are at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and accessible Art lessons tailored to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Support learners in achieving their GCSE Art qualification.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to create a positive and inclusive learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential, with a specialism in Art.
  • Previous experience working within a PRU or AP is highly desired.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for helping students succeed.

To be eligible you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child related references.
