Prospero Teaching is expanding its specialist support across Alnwick and the wider Northumberland area, offering tailored one-to-one SEN tuition for pupils who are currently unable to access mainstream schooling. Working in collaboration with local councils, SEND teams, and educational partners, we aim to ensure every learner receives the personalised help they need.
We are recruiting skilled SEN Tutors with experience supporting Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 students who present with needs such as SEMH, ASD, and a range of learning difficulties.
What the Role Involves
You will plan and deliver targeted, individual tuition sessions designed to help students rebuild their engagement with education, improve their confidence, and develop core skills in English and Maths. Teaching is provided in person, typically within community spaces, alternative education settings, or at the learner’s home.
Position Details
- Pay: up to £30 per hour (DOE)
- Hours: up to 15 per week per student
- Start date: November 2025

Your Responsibilities

Requirements
- Experience teaching or tutoring SEN learners (KS2 or KS3)
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
- Two years of verifiable references
