About the Role: Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated and reliable Site Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive junior school in the Bursledon area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-presented school environment. You will be working as part of a friendly site team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY tasks
- Ensuring the site is safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times
- Supporting with site security opening and closing the school as required
- Assisting with health and safety checks and record keeping
- Setting up and clearing away for school events or activities
- Managing deliveries and maintaining stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or site assistant role
- Take pride in their work and have a proactive, can-do attitude
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Have good communication skills and be confident working in a school environment
- Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the update service
