ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Prospero Teaching is on the lookout for a dynamic Afterschool GCSE Maths Tutor to deliver engaging, 1:1 after school tuition to secondary students (Years 9-11) across Romford and surrounding areas. These pupils may be struggling with confidence, have fallen behind, or simply need that extra boost to succeed in their exams-and that’s where you come in.
This is your chance to ignite a love of learning in students who need it most. Using your subject expertise and creativity, you’ll tailor sessions to unlock potential, build resilience, and help young people achieve academic success. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
* QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent (essential)
* Minimum 6 months’ experience in a UK secondary school or tuition environment
* Strong command of the GCSE Maths curriculum
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable – can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Have the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
* Provide two child-related professional references from the last two years
