We are looking for an After School Tutor who is passionate, confident, and keen to make a difference in a young person's life. The successful candidate will have experience in either Maths or English tutoring up to GCSE level and will be able to deliver high-quality lessons, support student progress, monitor achievement, and provide outstanding educational support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned tuition in Maths and English up to GCSE level.
  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Support students with a range of abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Monitor progress, set achievable targets, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive, motivating, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
  • Experience teaching Maths and/or English at secondary GCSE level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to adapt lessons to different learners.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting students with SEN or SEMH needs.
  • Background in tutoring or delivering targeted interventions.
