Overview
Prospero Teaching is recruiting tutors in Bradford to provide 1:1 tuition to students accessing alternative provision.
Most referrals are for English and Maths, at KS1 – KS3 level, with students working below expected age ranges.
Responsibilities
- Deliver English and Maths tuition for a Year 10 student working below ARE, with expected knowledge delivery at KS2 – KS3 level.
- Adapt lessons to individual learner needs, including learners with SEN.
- Location & Schedule
- Location: BD4, within the student’s home.
- Hours: 15 hours per week.
- Start Date: ASAP; End Date: Ongoing.
- Pay: GBP 20 – GBP 30 per hour.
- Tuition can take place in schools, public places, or students’ homes, with a responsible adult (parent, carer, or guardian) present during sessions.
- Tuition sessions occur within school hours (9am–4pm); client preferences for timings are accommodated when a role is available.
Qualifications
- Qualified teacher status is not required; some form of higher education is preferred.
- Prior experience in education is expected (at least 4 months in a school or educational setting).
- Possible roles include teacher, teaching assistant, or pastoral/support positions.
