Job description
Prospero Teaching is recruiting for an experience 1:1 Tutor in Oldham, experience within a SEN setting is required.
We are a Teaching Agency, that strives to make a positive impact in young peoples lives by supporting their development and education. Our Childrens Education Team work with local authorities throughout the North-West to support vulnerable pupils currently outside of mainstream education.
Subjects areas include Maths, English & Science.
Contract/Position Details:
Location within the community or pupils home in Oldham.

Minimum rate of pay GBP25/hr+
Hours 8am 4pm*
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on Update Service
Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
2 years of professional references
QTS or equivalent Tutoring experience.
Experience working within a SEN setting (preferred)
Further Information:
The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1:1 basis. A therapeutic approach may also be needed to re-engage students with their learning. The aim is to provide the pupil with structure in their daily routine and to continue their educational development, ultimately helping them return to an educational setting.
Prospero will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports.
*Tuition takes place generally in school daytime hours but occasional opportunities after school 3-4pm and evening occur. Sessions can range between 1-4hours on a daily or weekly basis.
